This book belongs to Kim Gonzalez Age 4 From Albany, New York. Enjoy your personalized story! Love, Mom and Dad
Kim loved fairies. Mario and Tanya liked them too. Kim had fairy wallpaper, a fairy mobile and even a fairy duvet.
Kim, Tanya and Mario searched for fairies everywhere. Until now, they had never found any.
They did not give up hope, though. They were sure they would see a fairy one day if they just kept on looking.
One day Dad took Kim, Mario and Tanya to the park. They thought it was the best park in Albany, New York! Some parts of the park had been left to grow wild and Kim felt this was the right place to find the fairies.
Kim, Mario and Tanya played hide-and-seek underneath the great oak trees. There were lots of fantastic places to hide and Kim wanted to be the first to find the other two.
Kim finished counting, "Coming!" she shouted. She then began to look for the other two who had run off to hide.
She searched behind the oak trees, but nobody was there. Then she looked by the rosebushes, but there was no sign of anyone.
Suddenly, Kim heard a little voice. "Help! Help me, please!" Kim looked around, but could not see anyone.
Kim could hear the voice coming from underneath a rosebush.
She crawled under the bush as far as she could go. The voice was still crying for help. Kim looked around and there was a tiny girl tied to a leaf with spider silk.
The little girl asked again, tears running down her face. "Please, please, help me?"
Kim started to help the little girl get free from the spider's web.
Kim quickly began to remove the sticky threads until the little girl was free. "Thank you so much, I don't know what I would have done without you!" said the tiny girl.
"Who are you? I have never seen a person as small as you!" said Kim.
"I am a fairy, and my name is Belle," replied the girl. "A fairy? A REAL fairy?"
Kim could not believe her luck - she had found a real fairy.
The next day Kim invited Tanya and Mario to stay the night for a sleepover. Belle had invited the children to visit her and her friends in fairyland because they would be having a fairy dance, and she wanted to thank Kim for setting her free.
Kim was so excited, tonight she would go to a real fairy dance!
They played dressing up, pretending to be fairies, to pass the time until Belle called them.
They soon became tired and decided to rest. As they lay on their beds, the room, the furniture and the toys began to grow. Each of them became smaller and smaller.
Everything was SO big and they were SO small.
"Oh good, Belle hasn't forgotten her promise after all!" said Kim.
"She certainly hasn't," agreed Mario with a shaky voice. "Look, it's Belle - she's here!" they whispered.
The magic did not stop there. Next, the room seemed to slowly vanish.
Finally, Kim, Tanya and Mario could see flowers, bushes and mushrooms, and FAIRIES, hundreds of them.
Glow-worms gave light and crickets made music. It was just the way Kim had expected it to be.
Belle appeared behind them, "Oh, I am so glad you are here!" she said, joyfully.
All of a sudden, they heard screams. "It's the goblins. Quick! Hide!" shouted Belle. "Oh dear, we are so tiny!" cried Kim.
"We'll be ok, let's just be quiet and hide," Belle reassured her.
"Make us big again!" pleaded Kim.
"What a great idea!" replied Belle. She whispered a few magic words and then they began to grow bigger, and bigger until they were full size again.
When they were the right size again, the children ran around, shooing away all the goblins.
"You'll have to come to every dance," joked the fairy.
"You know how to get us, don't you?" Kim, Tanya and Mario cried out happily.
"It's a deal!" agreed Belle. Kim was happy. This was the BEST day ever, but now it was time for them to go back to Albany, New York and drift off to sleep.
