This book belongs to Jada Murphey Age 5 From Houston, Texas. Have a great space adventure! Love Grandma

Jada, Mary and Thomas sat on the grass in the yard, eating sandwiches that Grandma had made for them.
"What would you like to do next?" asked Thomas.
"Let's play spacemen!" said Jada.
"Yes, we could go to the moon and look for aliens!" cried Mary.
"Look! Over here!" shouted Jada. "I've found a space rocket!"

Thomas and Mary ran to where Jada was standing. "Let's all climb on board," said Jada, excitedly.
Inside the rocket were three seats so they all sat down.
There were lots of screens with flashing lights and buttons.
Jada pressed the green button, and they counted together; "Five... four... three... two... one!"
"Lift off!" they all shouted.

"This is so much fun!" said Thomas.
"How long will it take to get to the moon, Jada?" asked Mary.
"Two or three days," replied Jada.
"That's a long time," said Thomas. "We'll be late for dinner!"
They chatted for a while and then began to fall asleep. The rocket zoomed past the moon and off into outer space.

A loud buzzing noise woke Jada.
"We have a problem!" shouted Jada.
Suddenly there was a loud BANG!
"What was that?" asked Mary.
Jada looked out of the window. "We have lost two engines," she said.
"Can the rocket still fly?" asked Thomas.
"Yes, but not far," replied Jada.

"Look! There's a funny red planet. Land there!" shouted Thomas.
"Do you know how to land this thing?" asked Mary.
"No, but there is a first time for everything," said Jada.
CRASH! The rocket landed with a bump.
"Hip hip hooray! We did it!" they all shouted.
They put on their spacesuits and got out of the rocket to look at the damage.

Jada, Mary and Thomas all felt like someone was watching them. Suddenly a little blue alien appeared.
"Are you from Planet Earth?" asked the alien. "I saw your rocket crash-land."
"Yes, that's right," said Thomas.
"Can you help us fix our rocket?" asked Jada.
The alien nodded his head and began to walk away.
Jada, Mary and Thomas followed the little blue creature.

As they reached a huge stone, the alien made funny noises like a trumpet, and the stone slid away to reveal the entrance to a cave!
All around the walls of the cave were piles and piles of old rocket parts.
In the middle of the cave were hundreds of little blue aliens, all working away on rockets.
"I hope they are friendly!" said Jada.

As the children walked into the cave all the little blue aliens stopped working and looked at them. The first alien spoke to them in a funny language.
Then one by one the little blue aliens walked over to Jada, Mary and Thomas.
Jada spoke to the little blue alien they had met first, and the alien explained that all his friends wanted to help them fix their broken rocket ship.

The little blue aliens went to work. They banged their hammers so hard that more and more smoke appeared around the rocket ship.
When all the smoke disappeared, Jada could see a brand new rocket!
"That looks great!" said Jada to the little blue aliens.
Jada, Mary and Thomas climbed into the rocket and put on their seat belts.
"This rocket looks better than our first one," said Mary, happily.

Jada looked out of the window.
"Come and see us again," the first little blue alien said.
"We will!" promised Jada.
Jada pressed the green button and they started the countdown together. "Lift off!" they all shouted.
"I hope we get home in time for dinner!" said Thomas.
"This has been the best adventure ever!" shouted Jada, as the rocket flew back to earth.
